Position: Structural Boardwalk Installer / Construction Carpenter
Location: Leuders, Texas (near Stamford, TX – approximately 1 hour north of Abilene)
Schedule: 10–12 hour shifts | Monday–Saturday
Pay: $28–$34/hour DOE
Per Diem: $160/day

Overview

Micone Staffing Resources, Inc. is seeking experienced construction professionals to support a large-scale workforce housing development project in Leuders, Texas.

This project involves the installation of elevated timber boardwalk systems, stairways, guardrails, and covered walkways connecting modular housing units within a newly constructed workforce housing community supporting a major data center development.

The boardwalk systems are constructed using timber light-frame construction with integrated roofing systems and are built in modular sections to create a connected pedestrian infrastructure throughout the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Install prefabricated boardwalk and walkway systems

• Construct and assemble timber structural framing components

• Install 6x6 posts, beams, joists, decking, and railing systems

• Assist with installation of covered roof structures above walkways

• Install stairs and guardrail systems between elevated sections

• Follow layout plans and structural drawings for modular installations

• Ensure proper spacing and drainage for deck installations

• Install structural hardware, fasteners, anchors, and connectors

• Work collaboratively with construction crews to meet project timelines

• Follow all jobsite safety procedures and requirements

Schedule

• 10–12 hour shifts

• Monday through Saturday

• Day shift operations (for safety compliance)

Compensation

• $28–$34 per hour depending on experience

• $160 daily per diem

• Long-term project with consistent hours

Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience in:

• Carpentry

• Structural framing

• Deck or boardwalk construction

• Modular construction

• Commercial construction

• Installing railings, stairs, or structural walkways

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift construction materials

• Ability to work outdoors in active construction environments

• Ability to work extended shifts and maintain productivity

Hiring Requirements

All workers must complete the following prior to site access:

• 10-year background check

• Drug screening

• Required safety training videos during onboarding
