Job Summary:
Construction Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site construction activities through installation on a project or multiple projects. They are to monitor safety, quality, and schedule in the field, while providing technical expertise and ensuring work in place meets quality requirements of contract documents, customer expectations and Technologies (NTI) standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervising the installation of cabinets, fiber cabling, grounding, OSP Cabling, etc.
- Closely adheres to and support your peers in all safety standards and procedures.
- Co-Creator of Change Orders, RFI’s and other related project documentation in submission to our customer.
- Supports tracking of project in Procore/BIM360/Excel
- Ensure that the subcontractors complete all work on schedule and to customers QA/QC standards.
- Perform site walks with client and customer.
- Works with scheduler to provide update of current status and future projections.
- Facilitate appropriate resources are scheduled to make all job timelines.
- Be reachable 24/7 to support customers and team members with urgent needs
- After hour communication may be required to meet urgent project needs.
- Review and comprehend contract documents and requirements
Job Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and all other provided materials.
- Extrapolate requirements to create take off materials including quotes, scope of work (SOW), method of procedure, etc.
- Basic ability to accurately estimate labor effort and material requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, focused on customer service.
- Proficiency with MS office suite especially Excel and Outlook.
- Bluebeam Revu for drawing reviews, mark-ups and bill of material creation.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
- Able to effectively collaborate with employees at all professional levels and to respectfully follow supervision.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- College degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or technical schooling is
- 4+ years of data center or construction related experience.
- PMP or equivalent certification
- OSHA30
- CPR/First Aid
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a a computer keyboard.
