Job Summary:
The Construction Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting Project Leads and Managers in the daily execution of construction projects by maintaining schedules, budgets, and project documentation while ensuring deadlines are met. This role coordinates stakeholder meetings, manages operational and financial reporting, and supports customer communication throughout the project lifecycle. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
• Support Project Leads and Managers to ensure projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets.
• Assist in assigning project tasks to relevant parties and follow up on status updates.
• Coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with management and clients to identify and define project requirements, scopes, and objectives aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensure project-related documents, databases, and systems are stored and managed properly according to company best practices.
• Collect, monitor, and analyze operational and financial data to support reporting, track internal cycle times, communicate project status, and identify roadblocks.
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree .
Experience
• Experience in telecommunications engineering or construction in field or office environments .
• Experience supporting project coordination, scheduling, or reporting functions .
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and workflow priorities.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• High aptitude for learning new systems, processes, and databases.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and PDF editing.
• Familiarity with GIS systems and project management software .
• Ability to maintain professionalism and provide superior customer service.
Qualifications:
• Experience working in telecommunications or utility construction industries.
• Familiarity with customer reporting requirements and project lifecycle processes.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and work in an office environment for extended periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
