MISSION CRITICAL PROJECT MANAGER – EL PASO, TX

Confidential Search | Top-25 ENR General Contractor | 2+ Year Project | Full-Time On-Site

ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a nationally recognized, employee-owned general contractor ranked in the top 25 of the ENR 400. This firm operates a dedicated Mission Critical practice building large-scale data center and critical facility projects for leading enterprises across the country. Their integrated approach prioritizes redundancy, scalability, energy efficiency, and seamless technology integration — delivered by specialized, experienced field teams.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Mission Critical Project Manager for a long-term, 2+ year data center construction project in El Paso, Texas. This is a significant, high-profile build requiring a seasoned project leader who can own the full scope of planning, stakeholder management, and financial oversight from pre-construction through commissioning — and stay the course for the life of the project.

  • The Project Manager serves as the company's primary management representative to all project stakeholders — owner, design team, trade partners, and AHJs. You'll work in close partnership with the Project Superintendent, who drives daily field operations, while you own the long horizon: planning, procurement, cost control, and relationship management.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, design teams, trade partners, and AHJs
  • Lead pre-construction planning including scheduling, procurement, personnel deployment, and technology mobilization
  • Monitor project costs and schedule with regular margin analysis reviews; drive course corrections as needed
  • Oversee QC plan setup and build out a qualified commissioning team
  • Manage trade partner relationships and proactively resolve issues to protect the schedule
  • Mentor and develop project staff through performance feedback and growth opportunities
  • Champion a culture of safety through active participation and accountability at all levels

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of commercial design-build project management or construction management experience
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Asta, Prolog, and Bluebeam
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and trade partners on complex projects
  • Strong communication skills — you're comfortable in owner meetings and field conversations alike
  • OSHA 10 or 30
  • Valid driver's license required

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Highly Competitive Total Compensation
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Company-paid medical, life, AD&D, and long-term insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan + HSA
  • Dental and vision (employee-enrolled)
  • Vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • Cell phone or cell phone allowance
  • Paid time off from day one
  • Cost of living adjustment (COLA) available based on location
