Construction Project Manager

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and oversee thermal, AC power, liquid cooling and third-party labor field activities (install, startup, commissioning and break fix) throughout the course of project.
  • Ensure field teams understand scope of work and job schedules. Make every effort to meet them.
  • Review manpower requirements to ensure we have enough resources to complete project and escalate internally when resource capacity doesn’t align with job schedule.
  • Coordinate work with other trades.
  • Ensure field teams and subcontractors follow OSHA, site safety and Vertiv safety policy.
  • Work with project manager in reviewing project completion status.
  • Facilitate regular coordination meetings with internal and job site stakeholders.
  • Create presentations and reports for internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Monitor field variations and keep project manager informed of any changes.
  • Adherence to project scope of work and ensure we are meeting our contractual obligations while identifying outside of scope work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing MEP scopes and personnel on large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to indirectly manage up to 50 field resources at a time.
  • Strong customer relation skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commissioning issue resolution software.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-12 years related field MEP experience

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business related or technical field (or equivalent of education and experience)
  • Prior experience on data center construction projects is strongly
  • OSH30 certification
