We are partnering with a leading contractor specialising in large-scale data centre developments across Europe. As their project portfolio continues to expand, we are supporting them in the appointment of an experienced Electrical Construction Manager. Responsibilities:
- Lead all phases of construction activity, from mobilisation to final handover.
- Create, manage, and maintain detailed construction schedules and execution strategies aligned with contractual requirements.
- Coordinate project timelines, priorities, and workforce planning with site supervisors and support teams.
- Oversee daily construction operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional quality.
- Track progress through approved reporting tools and provide consistent updates to senior leadership and the client.
- Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation plans to keep the programme on track.
- Work closely with EHSQ, HR, Procurement, and other internal teams to ensure compliance and seamless on-site operations.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of staff and subcontractors; ensure all teams perform to expected standards.
- Address on-site challenges, conflicts, and performance issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures at all times.
- Facilitate strong communication with clients and stakeholders through meetings, reporting, and progress reviews.
- Lead project close-out activities, including reporting, evaluation, and lessons learned.
- Carry out additional duties as needed to support successful project delivery.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing electrical construction works, ideally in data centre or mission-critical environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems, containment, cable installation, and commissioning operations.
- Proven ability to lead large multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors in demanding project environments.
- Excellent decision-making, planning, and problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Fluent in English (C2 level), written and spoken.
- EU citizenship or unrestricted visa-free travel within the EU.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Proficient with project tracking, scheduling, and reporting tools.
