Job Description
This Australian based magic circle law firm is seeking a 1-3 year PQE front‑end construction Associate to join a growing Construction practice based in Sydney.
In this role, you will work closely with a senior partner who leads a prestigious transactional Construction / Projects practice in Australia. You will be an integral part of a broader transactional team, collaborating with leading practitioners across M&A, Energy & Infrastructure, Real Estate and Project Finance. This provides exposure to high-quality, cross-disciplinary matters and access to deep transactional expertise.
You will also have the opportunity to work as part of a globally integrated Construction team, supporting complex infrastructure, energy and transport projects. These include large-scale data centres, renewable energy developments, mining, oil and gas projects, and major urban infrastructure initiatives, both within Australia and across the APAC and MENA regions.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and negotiating complex construction contracts (including EPC, D&C, GMP, ITC and ECI) and related project documentation
- Advising on procurement strategies and project structuring
- Supporting clients across sectors such as transport, energy, social infrastructure and commercial development
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on complex, often cross-border matters
Your experience:
- 1-3 years’ PQE in front-end construction at a leading firm
- Strong drafting and analytical skills, with a practical, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to collaborate effectively, build client relationships, and manage competing timelines
- A team-oriented mindset and willingness to contribute to a high-performing environment
- Curiosity, initiative, and a proactive approach to learning and development
