Construction Safety Manager – Data Center Projects

Innovar Group is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to support a data center construction project. This role calls for a safety leader who understands the pace and complexity of a site where structural work, mechanical and electrical installation, equipment delivery, and commissioning activities may overlap.

\n
Compensation: $60–$80/hour, W2, depending on construction and data center experience
\n
Contract: 6–12 months, with potential to hire. Seeking those interested in long-term projects!
\n

What you’ll do
\n
- \n
- Lead daily safety activities, including site walks, inspections, orientations, and toolbox talks.
- Partner with construction managers, trade contractors, and field crews to identify hazards and resolve issues before work proceeds.
- Review job hazard analyses and safety plans for activities such as electrical work, equipment installation, lifting operations, elevated work, and work around active systems.
- Coordinate safety expectations as multiple trades work in the same areas and the project moves toward testing, commissioning, and turnover.
- Monitor compliance with site procedures, contractor safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, document corrective actions, and follow through to completion.

What we’re looking for
\n
- \n
- Construction safety leadership experience on large, technically complex projects.
- Data center construction experience is strongly , particularly around MEP installation, electrical safety, energization planning, or commissioning.
- Ability to work directly with subcontractors and project leaders, address concerns clearly, and maintain a strong safety presence in the field.
- Working knowledge of job hazard analyses, incident investigation, and construction safety requirements.
