Construction Safety Manager 500,510,CHST or CSP .
Safety Manager:
Position Summary:Safety Manager is responsible for maintaining my clients Quality Assurance / Quality Control Program and coordinating the required parameters with the Project Management and Field Supervision staffs, along with maintaining and facilitating my clients Project Safety Programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Omaha - Heavy Data Center environment experience .
- Site Supervision CHST, OSHA 500, 510, CSP Welcomed.
- Ensure all material delivered to an offsite warehouse is stored properly to meet specifications and industry standards.
- Document and coordinate with Project Management and Field Supervision Staffs all stored material procedures.
- Ensure all material delivered and unpacked/uncrated at the job-site meets specifications and is undamaged; and is complete and ready for installation.
- Document and coordinate with Project Management and Field Supervision Staffs all material deficiencies.
- Coordinate and establish with Project Management and Field Supervision Staffs all installation procedures. including all mockups and “first-in-place” installs with all project principals.
- Ensure all installation material used meets specifications and follows approved submittals.
- Attend and document all Quality Control meetings and reviews, includes, but no limited to, meetings and reviews with the general contractor, architects, owner representatives, project subcontractors and/or project management and field supervision staffs.
- Inspect all installation in a timely manner to achieve a “zero punch list”.
- Document and coordinate with Project Management and Field Supervision Staffs to facilitate.
Primary Safety Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor work crews and subcontractors for adherence to project and company safety procedures and rules.
- Facilitate and coordinate with Installation Coordinator my Clients’ Safety , along with general contractor’s safety .
- Lead and coordinate with Field Supervision Staffs Weekly Tool-Box Talks.
- Assist Field Supervision Staffs with close call, incident investigations, accidents and complete all necessary reports.
- Authority to stop and prevent unsafe actions, stop the use of unsafe equipment and tools, stop work and/or have employees leave a work area.
- Assist and coordinate with Field Supervision Staffs JSAs and Task Planners for quality and track progress with regular feedback to project management.
- Responsible to follow and participate in their Safety Program and adhere to the clients Safety Promise.
- Perform their jobs in the safest manner prescribed – Never put themselves in harm’s way.
- Conduct themselves in a way that enhances their personal safety and that of their coworkers, contributing to a positive work environment.
- Report workplace hazards and make suggestions for their control.
- Cooperate and contribute towards the overall success of the Safety Program.

Qualifications: (in addition to minimum qualifications)
Education/Experience:
- Technical School Diploma or equivalent, or Construction Document Technologist (CDT) Certification, or Associates Degree.
- At least five years of experience in construction.
- Experience in Construction Specification Institute’s Master Format, specifically Divisions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 12.
- Experience with the construction submittal process.
- OSHA 500 certification (within the last 8 years).
- Experience assisting multiple teams.
- Experience responding to customer and/or vendor concerns in a timely manner.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
Minimum Qualifications:Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in construction.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret construction drawings (specifically architectural drawings), shop drawings and project specifications.
- Working knowledge of Construction Specification Institute’s Master Format.
- Exposure to the construction submittal process.
Acceptable motor vehicle driving record.Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications, specifically Excel and Word.
- Good communication skills.
- Safety conscious.
Job Type: Full-time.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday.
- Weekends as needed.
