Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Site Safety Representative to support the construction of a high-voltage Power House facility for a major data center project in New Albany, Ohio. This is a long-term opportunity (2+ years) for a dedicated safety professional with strong electrical construction experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in high-voltage environments and a strong working knowledge of OSHA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce and monitor compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Oversee safety operations for high-voltage electrical construction activities
- Conduct daily job site safety inspections and hazard assessments
- Lead daily safety briefings (toolbox talks) and safety meetings
- Ensure proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed
- Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
- Monitor subcontractor safety performance and compliance
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports
- Maintain safety documentation, logs, permits, and compliance records
- Coordinate with project management to proactively address safety concerns
- Support energized electrical work planning and high-risk activity permitting
Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
- Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience
- Experience working around high-voltage electrical systems strongly
- Strong understanding of OSHA standards and electrical safety regulations
- Experience in data center, utility, industrial, or power construction
- Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions immediately
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work 50 hours per week in an active construction environment
Qualifications
- NFPA 70E training
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience with energized work permits and arc flash safety
- CHST or other safety certification (a plus)
