Construction Superintendent – Federal & Mission-Critical Projects

Locations: Nationwide (Extended Travel Required)

A rapidly growing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is seeking experienced Construction Superintendents who thrive in high-stakes, high-quality federal and mission-critical environments.

This is a field leadership role on projects that matter: military installations, healthcare facilities, data centers, microgrids, and secure federal campuses across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full on-site management of federal, healthcare, and technology-driven construction projects ($1M – $25M+)
  • Direct all field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safety, schedule, quality, and budget goals are met or exceeded
  • Enforce strict compliance with federal regulations (FAR, DFARS, UFC, USACE RMS/QCS, NAVFAC eProjects, infection control/ICRA, AT/FP standards, etc.)
  • Proactively manage RFIs, submittals, daily reports, 3-week look-ahead schedules, and close-out documentation
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with owners, designers, government QA reps, and contracting officers
  • Lead safety culture and ensure zero-tolerance compliance with OSHA and EM 385-1-1

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8–10 years of field superintendent experience on vertical construction projects
  • Proven track record on federal projects (DoD, VA, GSA, DHS, or Corps of Engineers strongly )
  • Current OSHA 30-Hour and USACE CQM for Contractors certification (or ability to obtain immediately)
  • Ability to pass background checks and obtain base/installation access (current CAC or credentials a plus)
  • Willing and able to deploy to project sites nationwide for extended durations (typically 3–18 months per project; per diem, lodging, and travel covered)
  • Proficiency with Procore, RMS/QCS, and standard Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills under pressure

(but not required)

  • First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection Competent Person, Confined Space training
  • Experience on data centers, SCIFs, microgrids, or hospital renovation projects
  • Active security clearance
