Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Engineer II to support quality assurance and process improvement initiatives within its Electrification business. This role focuses on enhancing product quality, resolving customer issues, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations for critical power products such as PDUs, STS, and UPS systems.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical skills, quality engineering expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and inspection checklists
- Identify and define Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters and establish quality gates
- Monitor and improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and production quality metrics
- Analyze customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Lead and support root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, 8D, and DMAIC
- Perform Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during:

- Customer audits
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Certification audits (UL, CSA, ISO)
- Map and analyze manufacturing processes to identify improvement and automation opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2+ years of quality engineering or manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including:

- FMEA
- 7 QC Tools
- 5S / Kaizen
- 5 Why Analysis
- Poka-Yoke
- SPC
- DMAIC
- 8D Problem Solving
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment
- Must have valid work authorization to work in the U.S.
Qualifications
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement programs
- Familiarity with industry standards such as:

- IEEE C57 standards
- UL891
- CSA standards
- Experience in power systems, electrical products, or data center equipment
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and testing environment, including exposure to high-voltage equipment areas
- May support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) as a visitor (not performing electrical testing)
