Controller

for Scott Data Center/ Scott Managed Services, Omaha, Nebraska | (NoAK Management LLC)

We are looking for an experienced Controller for a well-established Omaha technology business, currently undergoing strategic expansion and rapid growth. The Scott Data Center is located on a technology campus which supports innovation, security, telecommunications, computer, network, and data storage infrastructure.

Job Summary

The Controller will oversee all financial operations of a fast-paced data center company, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role is pivotal in supporting executive leadership with insights that drive operational efficiency and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements in accordance with GAAP across multiple business units.
• Supervise accounting staff (AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger functions).
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes across a single data center with future expansion opportunities.
• Monitor cash flow, capital expenditures, and ROI on infrastructure investments.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist with tax planning and compliance in coordination with parent company and CPA firm for all necessary federal, state, and local filings.
• Support strategic initiatives (expansion planning, etc.)
• Provides support to the parent company for the consolidated audit.
• Collaboration and regular meetings with leadership team
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Ability to work onsite in Omaha.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in financial management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and financial modeling tools.
• Proven track record of direct managerial experience leading an accounting team.
• Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Skills

• CPA or MBA.
• Experience using Business Central software.
• Strong understanding of technology and data center economics.
• Experience in working with Technology leadership and key personnel.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, billing models and colocation pricing.
• Ability to thrive in a high-growth, tech-driven environment.
