Countertop Template Technician

We are searching for a Countertop Template Technician in North Carolina. The company is based on Kernersville, NC, but this role can be a remote position in Raleigh, Durham, Wilmington or other areas.

· Precisely measure cabinets using laser templating equipment to capture all necessary dimensions, including edge profiles, cutouts for sinks and cooktops, and any unique or complex design elements.

· Generate detailed digital templates for countertop surfaces based on laser measurements, utilizing specialized software to create a virtual representation of the countertop layout.

· Record important project details including desired edge profiles, finish options, colors, and any potential challenges or considerations on the job site.

· Clearly communicate the digital templates, collect field data, and complete template checklist for the programming team to ensure accurate fabrication.

· Verify the accuracy of templates before finalizing them to minimize defects and ensure a proper fit during installation.

· Inspecting all aspects of the project to ensure company quality standards are met.

· Identifying and resolving any field issues that may arise during the project, and communicating them to the customer, or company operations team.

· Make recommendations to leadership regarding suggested procedural changes.

· Develops and maintains strong working relationships with customers and employees.

· Ability to travel and stay overnight as needed.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Skills:

· High School diploma or Technical Degree.

· Experience with laser measuring tools, template creation software, and basic CAD design.

· Strong understanding of geometry and measurements to accurately interpret and record data.

· Ability to meticulously capture all necessary measurements and details to ensure precise fabrication.

· Basic understanding of cabinetry and construction practices.

· Effective communication skills to interact with customers and address any concerns regarding measurements and design.

· Familiarity with different types of granite, quartz, marble, or solid surface and their properties.

· Demonstrated ability to work with employees and customers in a professional and ethical manner.

· Focused on following company policies and procedures.

· Strong organizational skills.
