Job DescriptionCritical Environment Technician – Data Center Operations
We’re hiring Critical Environment Technicians to support a 24/7 data center environment. This role focuses on monitoring, inspections, and escalation to ensure uptime and system stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor BMS/EMS systems and escalate alarms or abnormalities.
- Perform inspections on:
- Medium/low‑voltage switchgear
- UPS systems
- PDUs
- Generators & transfer switches
- Battery systems
- Conduct real‑time system checks and log performance.
- Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotations and emergency response.
- Support installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Monitor (no repair work required): chillers, cooling towers, pumps, valves, fire protection, heat exchangers, and liquid cooling systems.
Required Skills
- Critical environment experience
- Basic knowledge of SCADA/BMS systems
- Strong communication and escalation skills
- Ability to work under pressure in high‑risk environment
Nice to Have
- HVAC or electrician license
- BMS experience
- Safety training or certifications
Schedule
- 4x3 schedule
- 12‑hour shifts (8AM–8PM or 8PM–8AM)
- Non‑rotating
What to Expect
Fast‑paced, hands‑on environment focused on monitoring and protecting critical infrastructure. Some independent work and teamwork required. Strong customer service and basic computer skills are helpful.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Barker, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
