Job Description\n\nCritical Environment Field Service Engineer - 3 month rolling contract - Hybrid working - INSIDE IR35 - No Sponsorship Available\n\nResponsibilities\n\nData Centre Operations:\n\nEnsures compliance with data centre business units and service-level policies\nEngages with appropriate teams and resources to execute tasks or projects. \nManages programs associated with area of responsibility.\nFollows and adheres to safety and security policies and procedures. Reports immediately any safety or security issues or concerns.\nParticipates in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process as appropriate.\nLead or participate in incident response activities for critical infrastructure failures, ensuring minimal downtime and effective recovery processes.\nProactively identify potential risks or vulnerabilities in the critical environment and implement strategies for mitigation.\nManage relationships with external vendors for equipment maintenance, repairs, and emergency services.\nHelp support and provide ongoing knowledge sharing to other team members to enhance their knowledge of critical environment systems and protocols.\n\nService Delivery\n\nMaximize Critical Environment (CE) availability in conjunction with our landlord partners at our leased Datacenters and to ensure optimal operational efficiency\nOversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in our leased Datacenters (MOP/SOP/EOP review, RCAs, FMEAs, change governance, and risk mitigation)\nReduce high-impact and human-error Critical Environment (CE) incidents year over year\nDeliver on cost/energy efficiency initiatives\nSupport delivery of the Datacenter’s Emergency Preparedness and Response plans and act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within our leased datacenters\nCoordinate, plan, schedule, and supervise CE audits and compliance verification as needed\nEnsure routine reporting to effectively manage and analyze our Power/Temperature/Relative\nHumidity, and SLA monitoring\nData Centre Work Environment\nSuggests ways for reducing risk of performing maintenance; works with others to accommodate scheduling needs.\nSuggests improvements in implementation based on depth of understanding.Ownership\n\nIn alignment with management priorities, holds self-accountable for the end-to-end service quality, completeness, and resulting customer experience (including but not limited to availability, safety, security, customer service). \nSupports escalation of issues to appropriate owner.\n\nQualifications\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent AND 4+ year(s) industry experience in a datacenter or other critical environment facility,\nOR 3+ years industry experience and college course work.\nPreviously held senior authorized person or authorized person for mechanical or electrical. Qualifications: \n\n3+ years’ experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU)\nBachelor’s Degree or Technical College certification in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or services\nexperience working on large scale CE projects\nexperience with the operation of IT infrastructure (Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.)\n\nSupplier-Provided PPE required:\n\nFeet: Lace-up steel or composite toe-boots which cover the ankle, has a slip resistant sole, and meets specifications set-forth in the American Society of Testing Material (ASTM) International Standard\n\nF2413-05, Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective\n\n(Safety) Toe Cap Footwear.\n\nHead: (PPE) Head: Type 2, ANSI Z89 approved Hard Hat or Helmet\n\nEyes: ANSI, CE, or EN approved Safety Glasses with side shields\n\nHands: Level 5 cut/abrasion/impact- resistant gloves\n\nHigh Visibility Vests\n\nEars: Multiple-Use ear plugs\n\nJob Title: Critical Environment Field Service Engineer\n\nLocation: London, UK\n\nJob Type: Contract\n\nTrading as TEKsystems.
