Critical Facilities Engineer

The opportunity

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role inside one of the most operationally demanding data center environments in the country. You'll be responsible for the uptime of systems that Fortune 500 companies and hyperscalers depend on — around the clock, no margin for error.

What you'll own

  • End-to-end critical power — utility/generator switchgear through UPS, PDU, and RPP to customer load
  • Central plant and chilled water systems: air-cooled chillers, CRAC/CRAH, fan walls, humidification
  • Fire life safety: wet and pre-action sprinkler systems, detection devices — compliance with NFPA 70E, 72, and 25
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance execution — aggressive schedule, tracked in a CMMS
  • Incident response, escalation, and written follow-up reporting
  • Trending, analysis, and recommendations to push operational efficiency higher
  • Coordination and oversight of power installations and upgrades

What you need:

Experience

  • 3–5 years in data center or mission-critical ops

Education

  • High school diploma min; degree or Navy Nuclear
  • Systems knowledge
  • UPS, transformers, PDUs, RPPs, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, STS, ATS
  • Schedule

Must be available nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call
