REPORTS TO: Facility Manager
SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Facility Manager, this role requires hands-on experience in general facility maintenance and troubleshooting. Work may include general building repairs, patching and painting various surfaces, and assisting with installation, repair, and maintenance of both critical and non-critical mechanical equipment. Because the organization maintains a customer-first culture, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in a professional, tactful, and courteous manner in all situations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(To include, but not limited to):
- Under supervision, assist with maintenance of multiple mechanical areas, including components within HVAC systems, plumbing installation and maintenance, generator operations, fire detection and suppression, life safety systems, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems (including fire alarm, duress, card access, and CCTV).
- Maintain and monitor electronic work-order ticketing systems to perform and track all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance within the data center campus.
- Inspect buildings, lighting systems, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe, well-maintained conditions, identifying hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs.
- Perform minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and fuses (depending on experience).
- Identify and perform basic service and repair on plumbing fixtures, and open clogged lines and drains.
- Operate a variety of machinery, equipment, and tools including saws, routers, drills, sanders, planers, drill presses, and various hand tools.
- Monitor building conditions and tour the property periodically during scheduled shifts.
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment; recommend tools, supplies, and equipment for purchase.
- Assist with moving, loading, unloading, and storage of supplies, furniture, and equipment.
- Adjust hours or scheduled days (including occasional overtime or weekend work) as required.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2–5 years of related work experience
- Working knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical critical facility systems is a plus
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, plus occasional overtime
- Computer proficiency required (MS Office)
