Critical Facilities Manager (Contract Manager) – Critical Environments (Data Centre)\n\nLocation: Slough\n\nSalary: Up to £72,500 + package\n\nSector: Data Centre / Critical Facilities / FM\n\nWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Critical Facilities Manager (Contract Manager) to take ownership of a large, high-profile data centre environment in Slough. This is a senior operational role with responsibility for critical plant, systems, and service delivery across a complex, mission-critical estate.\n\nThe successful candidate will lead a sizeable on-site team, work closely with a global partner, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure resilient, compliant, and high-performing operations.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Critical Facilities Manager (Contract Manager), you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of facilities services across a live data centre environment, ensuring zero downtime, operational excellence, and strong client relationships.\n\nThis role suits an FM professional with experience in critical environments, strong leadership capability, and a calm, structured approach to managing risk and performance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Full operational ownership of a 24/7 critical data centre contract\n\n * \n\n Management of critical plant and systems (including power, cooling, resilience)\n\n * \n\n Lead, develop, and motivate a large on-site FM & engineering team\n\n * \n\n Work closely with a global partner, peers, and client counterparts\n\n * \n\n Ensure all statutory compliance, H&S, and critical procedures are adhered to\n\n * \n\n Own contract KPIs, reporting, and performance outcomes\n\n * \n\n Drive continuous improvement, best practice, and process optimisation\n\n * \n\n Manage suppliers, subcontractors, and service partners\n\n * \n\n Support business continuity planning and incident response where required\n\nAbout You\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as a Contract Manager / Senior FM in a data centre or critical environment\n\n * \n\n Strong knowledge of critical plant and infrastructure\n\n * \n\n Confident managing large teams in high-pressure, business-critical settings\n\n * \n\n Commercially aware with strong stakeholder and client-facing skills\n\n * \n\n Comfortable operating in a structured, process-driven environment\n\n * \n\n Professional, calm, and solutions-focused in approach\n\n * \n\n Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n\n * \n\n Salary up to £72,500 + Package\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to work within a high-profile, long-term critical account\n\n * \n\n Exposure to a global operating partner\n\n * \n\n Significant responsibility and visibility\n\n * \n\n Clear scope for career progression within a growing portfolio\n\n * \n\n Stable, well-resourced environment with strong support structure\n\nApply\n\nIf you’re a Contract Manager with experience in critical environments and are looking for your next step within a complex, high-performing operation, we’d welcome a confidential conversation
