Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent PLUS 3+ years mission critical services work/applied learning experience (e.g., high availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or related fields)
  • Ability to work shifts, including shift assignments during non-standard business hours that may include evening, nighttime, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.

qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Critical Environments management, leading teams that are working on and repairing:
    • Fire, Life, Safety, and Security infrastructure systems.
    • Mechanical infrastructure systems.
    • Electrical infrastructure systems.
    • Automation and process control infrastructure systems.
  • Knowledge of and ability to teach electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment (e.g., MV Distribution, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units, and CRAC/CRAH units).
  • Knowledge of and ability to teach: Building Automation Systems (BAS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Incident Control and Management (ICM).
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently schedule and lead preventative and restorative maintenance scopes.
  • Knowledge of, belief in, willingness to enforce a rigorous Change Management Process: MOPs, SOPs, EOPs.

  • Understands, follows, ensures, and coaches team on safety and security requirements, and best business practices to properly perform work in a safe, quality, and reliable manner that complies with applicable federal, state, local, and Altum requirements.
  • Proactively ensures a safe and reliable working environment that is conducive of a highly reliable Data Center.
  • Assesses and identifies appropriate resources and equipment necessary to fully support Altum objectives as efficiently as possible.
  • Participates in required meetings, training, and necessary handoffs.

About the job:

As a Critical Facility Technician Manager (CFTM), you are a full-time on-site people manager. As a CFTM, you will perform a key role in maintaining the uptime of the infrastructure for Altum's customers’ online services. You will cultivate an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact on our culture every day. You will guide subordinates to grow and expand their knowledge base, skill set, and potential. You will ensure the site is operated in accordance with company policy, local codes, and within OSHA guidelines. The base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000-$138,000 per annum + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
