Compensation: $100K - $140 base salary + potential discretionary bonus
Travel: Moderate (30-40%)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager II to oversee moderately complex projects involving switchgear and electrical components. This role requires a strong understanding of project planning, coordination, execution, and stakeholder communication. The PM2 will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Execution

  • Manage mid-sized projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the assembly, testing, and installation of low- and medium-voltage switchgear and related electrical components.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders during project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks to maintain efficiency and compliance.

Project Coordination & Documentation

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Perform estimating tasks and input information into the quoting system.
  • Maintain detailed project reports, risk logs, and documentation to track progress.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and compliance requirements.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with customers, contractors, and engineers to resolve challenges and drive project success.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment that promotes accountability and performance.
  • Communicate project updates effectively to all stakeholders.

Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills & Attributes)

  • 2-4 years of experience in project management or coordination.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of NEC standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance.
  • Experience in project estimating, quoting, and takeoff processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams on technical projects.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or equivalent are a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in both office and field settings.
  • Lift, carry, and/or move up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Climb ladders, staircases, and operate vehicles for extended periods.
  • Work in varied weather conditions, including extreme heat/cold.
