We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fiber Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber-optic networks that power today’s high-speed digital infrastructure. This role is ideal for hands-on technicians who take pride in quality work, safety, and customer experience while contributing to the expansion of next- connectivity.

Fiber Technicians play a critical role in building and maintaining reliable, high-performance fiber networks for residential, commercial, and enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber-optic cable (aerial, underground, and MDU environments)
  • Perform fiber terminations, connectorization, and fusion splicing
  • Conduct OTDR and power meter testing to verify signal integrity
  • Read and interpret fiber prints, schematics, and construction documentation
  • Identify and resolve service issues efficiently while minimizing downtime
  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation, test results, and job completion reports
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers
  • Safely operate tools, vehicles, ladders, and specialized fiber equipment

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in fiber installation or telecommunications
  • Working knowledge of fiber-optic systems, splicing, and testing equipment
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Experience with FTTH, FTTB, and MDU fiber deployments
  • Fusion splicing experience (aerial and underground)
  • Familiarity with OTDR, power meters, and light sources
  • OSHA-10, OSHA-30, or other safety certifications
  • Previous experience with major telecom providers or contractors
