Data Center Cable & AV Technician – Long-Term (4-Year Project)
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Pay: $22–$30/hr – DOE

We are currently hiring a High-Level Data Center Cable & AV Technician for a long-term (4+ year) data center project in Omaha, NE. This position requires strong structured cabling experience and hands-on audio/visual installation experience. Candidates should be comfortable working in mission-critical environments and committed to long-term work.

Data Center Cable & AV Technician Duties:

• Pulling, routing, and securing CAT5, CAT6, and Fiber cable in a data center environment
• Dressing, labeling, and terminating low-voltage cabling
• Installing ladder racks, cable trays, j-hooks, basket trays, and racks
• Rack & stack work, patch panels, and server rack assembly
• Punch-down and termination of copper and fiber connections
• Installing and supporting AV systems, including:
• • Displays and monitors
  • Audio cabling and signal wiring
  • Control cabling and AV infrastructure
• Working from prints, schematics, and AV drawings
• Following data center safety standards and best practices

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in low-voltage or data center cabling
• Documented audio/visual installation experience required
• Experience with structured cabling in data centers or large commercial environments
• Familiarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA, and NEC standards
• Ability to read and interpret prints, schematics, and line diagrams
• Fiber termination and testing experience
• Must have basic telecom/AV tools and required PPE
