Data Center Capacity Manager

We are looking for a highly organized process improvement individual to join the Infra Data Center Strategic Planning team. In this role, you will be part of the team that builds Meta’s global data center roadmap, develops end-to-end infrastructure plans, and manages our capacity data and capacity plan that sets the direction for one of the fastest growing platforms in the world.

As a Data Center Capacity Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to manage our capacity data and capacity planning programs to drive the operational source of truth for our execution teams to meet rapidly growing demand for AI and Meta’s family of products and services. You will engage in highly cross-functional efforts to manage our capacity programs to ensure effective execution with SLAs, KPIs, and ensuring data quality in our systems.

This individual contributor role is inherently cross-functional, requiring collaboration with key data center delivery stakeholders across capacity engineering, network, data center design & construction, site selection, energy, site & facility operations, and hardware teams.Data Center Capacity Manager Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally and leverage conflict management skills to triage issues around capacity, including delays or accelerations, to identify mitigation strategies and leadership recommendations to support growth in AI and Meta’s family of products and services
  • Develop and manage our data center program, ensuring our data center plans meet the needs of our products and services and managing the source of truth signals to leadership and executive-level communications with metrics and reporting
  • Play a critical role in managing data center supply planning programs, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting our SLAs, and source-of-truth data integrity
  • Develop process improvement recommendations around our data center capacity program, streamlining cross-functional collaboration, dependencies between teams, and reducing cycle time
  • Lead systems and tooling efforts to improve data quality and evolve data management at a cross-org level scale

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience in technology strategy/consulting, technical program management, or supply chain optimization
  • Demonstrates business acumen and intuition, with experience in managing complex cross-functional teams to identify resolutions
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating effectively across internal organizations and building trusted working relationships
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, rigorously prioritizing initiatives, and adapting to change
  • Analytical and quantitative, with the experience to constructively engage with analysts, data science and engineering, and user experience research partners to frame and interpret sophisticated analyses
  • Technical experience with SQL and reporting on large datasets

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification
  • Relevant experience in infrastructure planning, with a focus on managing data center capacity and projects

$162,000/year to $229,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
