QA/QC Engineer (MEP/Cx)
This is a mid-level data center project field QA/QC role that is responsible to execute the client's QA/QC Program throughout the L1-L5 commissioning (Cx) levels or specified responsibilities mentioned below based on our clients' requirements. They will be tasked to work onsite full-time (40-50 hours a week) with the potential for overtime. This is a traveler role with expenses covered where the prospective candidate will work on a project based on any location within the United States.
Primarily looking for candidates with data center commissioning, MEP QA/QC, field engineering, commissioning engineer, or construction quality roles.
Responsibilities
- Review MEP Project Drawings, approved submittals and specifications as needed
- Inspect incoming MEP equipment and complete the required receiving checklist on the required software platform
- If required, perform preparatory phase meetings with all subcontractors and confirm readiness to work onsite
- Review MEP mockups for equipment or specific systems as required per specifications
- Document and track all required QA/QC deliverables and test reports during L2 and L3 (NETA, Short Circuit Study, Torque/Megger sheets, TAB etc)
- Ensure that all set-in place inspection checklists are completed by JLL-SKAE and the subs/vendors
- Perform inspection for foreign object debris (FOD) inside MEP equipment if required
- Perform final equipment inspection prior to L3 Energization.
- Ensure all L3 document deliverables including startup reports are provided.
- Assist with the development of methods of procedure (MOP's) for specific equipment and systems.
- Track and organize all required documentation for L1-L3 on Procore or other software platform
- Record observations and issues in the required software platform during walk throughs and inspections
- Manage all issues and observations in the required software platform and ensure timely closeout
Requirements
- Data Center QA/QC Engineer — Mid-Level
- 3–5 years of Data Center experience
- 2–5 years of QA/QC experience
- OSHA-30 Certification
- NFPA-70E Knowledge/Certification ()
- USACE Certification ()
- Procore Experience
- Cx Alloy / Facilities Grid experience
- MOP (Method of Procedure) development
- Equipment Startup & Energization support
- NETA Testing documentation
- TAB (Testing, Adjusting & Balancing)
- Short Circuit Study documentation
- Safety Compliance & Site Safety Awareness
