They need to have:
- Data center experience, understand data center technologies (servers, switches, routers, rack builds, populating data center which includes things like cabling, fiber, transceivers, power balancing, cooling… liquid colling a plus)
- Documentation experience
- A huge plus if they have scripting experience (Python, bash scripting, Ansible)
- Customer facing personality
- These folks travel quite a bit too, up to 90% (3-4 weeks in Memphis, 1 week home type of thing and then could move onto another location depending on the projects)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to assess Customer environment and make design and solution recommendations.
- Act as liaison between Pre-Sales and Delivery teams.
- Provide design, deployment and implementation services of single or multi-vendor solutions in a Data Center environment.
- Handle issues escalated by Engineers and Sr. Engineers
- Ability to troubleshoot multi-vendor issues
- Lead a Project team
- Be current with vendor offerings and technology
- Be available to meet the customers IT needs
- Achievement of utilization targets
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Provide after-hours on-call support.
- Understand and abide by all security and operational policies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Safety and security of facility.
- Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values.

Memphis, TN ideally but open to candidates that can travel in
Reporting
This position will report to the Data Center - Practice Manager
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years as an engineering consultant, outside systems engineer or similar.
- Relevant qualifications or accreditations in one or more technology area(s)
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Skills & Competencies
- Subject matter expert within your focused technology stack
- Ability to design complex multi technology solutions
- Ability to design complex technical solutions and provide input into bid, project and technical documents
- Have, maintain and/or achieve multiple manufacturer-specific advanced certifications.
- Broad knowledge of the business benefits that technical solutions can provide
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present in a group setting.
- Prefer a strong working knowledge of computer system applications (e.g.: Windows, Microsoft Office, OSX, Salesforce).
- Scripting and automation experience (Python, Ansible, etc)
- Working knowledge of networking systems.

-Interact with users to understand and document all IT issues.
-Install and maintain computer systems and peripherals in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
-Perform administrative duties, including asset tracking and management, IT inventory maintenance, processing purchase requisitions, managing shipping, and providing general support to team members.
-Assist with the planning and implementation of IT projects across multiple sites.
-Provide first-level IT support for business users
-Perform analysis, diagnostics, and resolution of user computer problems, and implement corrective solutions.
-Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software.
-Open service requests and manage warranty repairs with hardware vendors.
-Manage the new user request process, including configuration, setup, inventory, and testing of new user computers prior to delivery.
