The main function of a Data center Construction Integration Manager is to manage the low voltage, mechanical and technical infrastructure scopes of work during the data center fit-out period.
\n
\n
Job Responsibilities:
\n
• Constantly advocate for a safe construction environment and enforce all MS/GC safety policies
\n
• Conduct QA/QC walk throughs for the duration of construction, ensuring all installed infrastructure is in accordance with issued specifications and MS standards
\n
• Lead, facilitate meetings, contractor guidance, quality cost schedule responsibilities.
\n
• Responsible for the project management of all integration and fit-out activities associated with company-owned system and/or services and critical infrastructure that is required to be installed into a new data center lease facility
\n
• Responsible for coordinating the handover process and ensuring the required handover documentation and expectations are met to handover the space to our Operations teams and the business.
\n
• Required identification and management of scopes and interdependencies between all external and internal stakeholders and coordinating same with the physical construction build and General Contractor.
\n

Experience
\n
• 5+ years of project management experience (construction system integration)
\n
• Strong background in data center construction, with an emphasis on telecoms project/construction management is required.
\n
• Data center Design-build construction experience required
\n
• Data center experience required.
\n
• Telecommunication background .
\n
\n
Skills:
\n
• Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
\n
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
\n

The Data Center ITIM is responsible for the project management of all integration and fit-out activities associated with company-owned system and/or services and critical infrastructure that is required to be installed into a new data center build or lease facility to deliver capacity to the business. The role requires the identification and management of scopes and interdependencies between all external and internal stakeholders and coordinating same with the physical construction build and General Contractor. The ITIM is responsible for coordinating the handover process and ensuring the required handover documentation and expectations are met to handover the space to our Operations teams and the business.

Years of experience – 5 – 15 years

Typical task breakdown and rhythm – Walking the construction site, coordinating with many other parts of the business, problem solving.
\n
\n
Best vs. average – Data center experience, construction infrastructure management, large general contractors, drive results.
\n
\n
Requires strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Must be a strong project manager with the ability to self-direct. Strong background in data center construction, with an emphasis on telecoms project/construction management is required.
