Are you looking to start or grow your career in security systems installation with a dynamic and growing team? We’re hiring multiple Data Center Install Apprentices to support the installation, service, and maintenance of electronic and physical security systems in data center environments. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic technical or construction-related experience who is eager to learn the trade while working alongside an experienced Journeyman Technician. If you’re dependable, mechanically inclined, safety-minded, and ready to build hands-on skills in access control, alarm, camera systems, wiring, and equipment installation, we want to hear from you!
Location: Mesa and Goodyear, CA
Pay: $24-$28 hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Journeyman Technicians with the installation of electronic and physical security systems, including access control, alarm, and camera systems
- Pull wire, mount devices, and install equipment according to job specifications and safety standards
- Support site preparation, job setup, and material staging for projects
- Learn to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project documentation
- Assist with system startup, testing, and commissioning of installed equipment
- Help verify that installed or serviced equipment is functioning properly and meets project requirements
- Maintain accurate timesheets, reports, inventory records, and other required documentation
- Keep assigned tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good working order
- Follow all company and customer safety procedures, especially in data center environments
- Communicate professionally with team members, supervisors, and customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 0–2 years of experience in low voltage, construction, cabling, security systems, electrical work, or related technical field
- Willingness and ability to learn alongside a Journeyman Technician in a hands-on training environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools and power tools
- Interest in electronic security systems, access control, cameras, alarms, and structured cabling
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Experience with access control systems such as Lenel or AMAG is a plus, but not required
