While under the guidance of our clients management, these resources will be responsible for physical upgrades, implementation, optimizations and troubleshooting onsite at two of the clients Santa Clara data centers. Lab techs will deploy circuit boards and need to be able to troubleshoot any related issues, run diagnostics, create documentation, etc. Resources will also assist in rack and stack, cabling and other common data center activities. The contractors will also be expected to have some shift flexibility. 80+% of the time they will work 1st shift (day shift) but occasionally they will be asked to work a night shift to help execute off-hour upgrades.
Additional tasks will include:
•\tHandling Labs and Datacenters using DCIM Tools, spreadsheets and task tracking tools.
•\tYour responsibilities will also include defining standards in labs to keep them safe, clean and organized.
•\tDeploy test boards that run automated tests from Software Developers and triage and root cause board issues which are not due to hardware or software issues but, that potentially have test setup issues.
•\tRemove and redeploy boards that need software and/or hardware upgrades from board engineers on a regular cadence.
•\tCollect data for critical metrics for the lab and track progress.
Job Requirements:
•\t4-8 years working in enterprise data centers.
•\tSome shift flexibility
•\tStrong experience installing and troubleshooting circuit boards (GPUs, NICs, etc)
•\tKnowledge and willingness to contribute in rack and stack related tasks
•\tHardware vendor certifications for any of the specified technologies.
•\tKnowledgeable in Linux & networking.
•\tExtensive server, network and cabling installation experience.
•\tExcellent communication skills both written and oral at all levels; able to explain highly technical concepts to less technical people
•\tProficient in MSOffice Suite, particularly Excel.
•\tExperience using JIRA, Netbox and ServiceNow.

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
