Key Responsibilities
As an Operator, you are the frontline defense for our mission-critical facilities:
- Mechanical & Hardware Monitoring: Perform continuous diagnostic inspections of physical hardware, including complex direct-to-chip liquid cooling systems, power distribution matrices, and mechanical equipment.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Actively respond to automated alerts and infrastructure alarms; diagnose root causes of anomalies and isolate system faults efficiently.
- Incident Escalation & Ownership: Coordinate smoothly with specialized IT engineers and facility management teams to implement rapid corrective actions and preventative upgrades.
- Clear Documentation: Write precise, highly legible incident logs, shift summaries, and compliance reports to guarantee operational continuity between shifts.
What We Are Looking For
Core Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Data Center Certified Associate) or an Associate's degree are highly regarded.
- Mechanical & Technical Aptitude: Prior experience or a strong baseline knowledge of industrial mechanical operations, power management, or HVAC/cooling loops.
- Troubleshooting Mentality: Proven ability to stay calm under pressure, analyze visual/auditory cues, and trace technical issues to their root cause.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; ability to document complex mechanical events clearly for teammates.
- Flexibility: Absolute readiness to work fixed 8 &12-hour shifts, including nights, rotating weekends, and holidays within a 24/7 environment.
- Physical Capability: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, maintain sharp close/distance vision focus, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs of infrastructure components.
(Plus, but not required):
- Direct background working inside automated utilities, power plants, or high-density computing centers.
- Familiarity with industrial data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools and emergency response protocols.
