Project Manager – Mission Critical & Data Center Construction

Role Overview
As a Mission Critical Project Manager, you will lead internal teams and subcontractors through high-stakes data center construction and upgrade projects. Your portfolio will range from specialized BMS/EPMS upgrades to large-scale, multidisciplinary structural and electrical renovations across the Northern Virginia region.
Primary Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, including planning, scheduling, financial management, and closeout.
- Technical Oversight: Coordinate scopes involving BMS, EPMS, mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
- Field Coordination: Lead site surveys, bid walks, and provide technical direction to field crews and construction management teams.
- Safety & Compliance: Champion a "safety-first" culture and ensure all site activities comply with design specifications and regulations.
- Documentation: Develop and manage critical project documentation, including MOPs, RFIs, Submittals, and Site Logistics Plans.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering regular schedule updates and fostering long-term relationships.
- Pre-Construction Support: Partner with estimating teams to respond to RFQs and develop winning bid submittals.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–6+ years of Project Management experience specifically within Mission Critical or Data Center environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong command of electrical, mechanical, and industrial construction methods.
- Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience with BMS/EPMS integration and commissioning.
- Software: Proficient with construction management software and the ability to interpret complex blueprints/technical drawings.
- Communication: Exceptional analytical and communication skills; able to multitask in high-pressure environments.
- Logistics: Must be able to travel to project sites and pass a comprehensive background check.
- Authorization: Must be authorized to work for any US Employer without current or future visa sponsorship.
Physical Requirements
This role requires active on-site management. Candidates must be able to:
- Navigate construction sites, including walking on uneven ground and working at heights.
- Perform intermittent sitting, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Work in varying environmental conditions (noise, dust, and temperature extremes).
