Job Title: Data Center Support / Operations Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, CA/ Atlanta, GA – Onsite (5 days/week)

Work Hours: 8-hour shift (PST; exact timing post-selection)

Key Responsibilities

  • Install & Maintain Hardware: Compute, network, storage, racks, PDUs, cabling, etc.
  • Monitor Infrastructure: Prevent failures and performance degradation.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose, escalate, and resolve hardware and connectivity issues.
  • Collaboration: Work with Operations teams and remote hands for issue resolution.
  • Asset Management: Maintain detailed inventory of installed and spare equipment.
  • Documentation: Keep datacenter configuration records up to date.
  • RMA & Logistics: Handle shipping, receiving, and return activities.
  • Change Management: Follow process and participate in off-hours change windows.
  • Datacenter Standards: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational excellence.

Must-Have Hands-On Skills

  • Racking & Cabling: Physically install and cable servers and network gear.
  • Cabling Knowledge: Familiarity with SFP types and cable types.
  • Documentation: Ability to follow and write clear installation directions.
  • Stacking/Unstacking: Proficient in full rack setup and cabling layout.
