Data Center Technician (1 Week Contract)

The Data Center Technician (1 Week Contract) will support data center operations through the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and network components. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role requires hands-on work involving physical access to equipment racks while ensuring compliance with security standards. This short-term contract offers an opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure without after-hours or weekend commitments.
Scope of Work:
Team will furnish labor to route, install, dress, label, and test five (5) pre-terminated fiber trunks in accordance with the provided floor plan and routing instructions:
- One (1) 24-fiber trunk from CER to R&D, terminated into the existing enclosure
- One (1) 24-fiber trunk from CER to PCR2, terminated into the existing enclosure
- One (1) 24-fiber trunk from CER to VNOC, terminated into the existing enclosure
- One (1) 24-fiber trunk from CER to PCR1, terminated into the existing FS enclosure
- One (1) 24-fiber trunk from CER to Theater, terminated into a new enclosure
Additionally, the team will pull back and relocate two (2) SMPTE fiber cables in accordance with the provided floor plan and routing instructions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data center operations
- Hardware troubleshooting expertise
- Proficient in network cabling and fiber termination
- Familiarity with low voltage systems
- Experience with rack and stack procedures
