Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable professional to serve as the onsite lead and liaison for internal teams, partner resources, and subcontractors. This role is responsible for coordinating field operations, managing technicians, ensuring quality installations, and supporting infrastructure deployments across multiple ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Coordination

  • Serve as the onsite lead and primary liaison for internal teams, partner resources, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Management team to execute onsite activities successfully.
  • Interview, schedule, manage, and coordinate field technicians across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Train field technicians on project expectations, quality standards, and site procedures.
  • Ensure deliverables, including as-built documentation, are completed accurately and on time.

Documentation & Site Readiness

  • Analyze, interpret, and validate supporting documentation required to stage devices according to predefined specifications.
  • Develop documentation for site surveys and onsite installation activities.
  • Conduct site surveys and review findings with customers and field engineers.
  • Identify remediation needs and ensure technicians are prepared for successful onsite execution.

Technical Installation & Support

  • Perform Dead on Arrival (DOA) / Green Light testing.
  • Conduct post-installation Quality Assurance checks.
  • Integrate infrastructure components based on slotting matrices and cabling diagrams.
  • Configure console management access to enable remote engineering support.
  • Perform cabling installations, including:
    • Pulling cable
    • Securing cable
    • Splicing cable
    • Running conduit

Equipment Deployment

  • Handle physical device placement, including unboxing, racking, mounting, and installing network equipment.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a related technical field.
  • Leadership experience managing small teams.
  • Experience supporting network implementations and troubleshooting.
  • Experience communicating effectively with peers and customers during issue resolution.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working on small, medium, or large-scale projects with complex or ambiguous requirements.
  • Data center experience .

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of network cabling standards and fiber optic types.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure technologies and deployment best practices.
  • Familiarity with Command Line Interfaces such as:
    • Cisco IOS
    • JunOS
    • Similar platforms
  • Understanding of common networking protocols.
  • Experience updating operating systems on Cisco, Juniper, and other networking equipment.
  • Familiarity with wireless heat maps and tools such as Ekahau.

Education & Certifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • BICSI Installer certification or equivalent knowledge.
  • CCENT or equivalent knowledge.
  • Network+ or equivalent knowledge.
  • A+ certification or equivalent knowledge.
