Pay: Competitive, based on experience and skill level
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10-12 hour shifts
Location: Houston, TX

We are currently seeking Cabinet & Rack Assembly Technicians to join our team. This position is responsible for assembling and installing equipment racks inside cabinets, installing insulation, preparing mounting surfaces, and ensuring completed assemblies meet quality and installation requirements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, cabinet installation, commercial construction, data centers, structured cabling, or manufacturing and is comfortable working with hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install insulation inside equipment cabinets.
  • Prepare bolt holes and mounting points, including removing powder coating when required.
  • Clean and prepare mounting surfaces prior to installation.
  • Position, align, and install equipment racks inside cabinets.
  • Install and properly tighten bolts, brackets, fasteners, and other mounting hardware.
  • Follow assembly instructions, drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, and secure installation.
  • Identify and correct assembly issues and complete punch-list items.
  • Use drills, impact drivers, sockets, wrenches, and other hand and power tools.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production and installation goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, cabinet installation, commercial construction, data centers, or similar hands-on work .
  • Experience using drills, impact drivers, sockets, wrenches, and other hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, drawings, diagrams, and basic assembly specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to accurately measure, align, assemble, and secure components.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive assembly and installation tasks.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work inside or around equipment cabinets for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials and equipment as required.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team.
  • Dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality.

Experience

Candidates with experience as a Rack & Stack Technician, Data Center Technician, Cable Technician, Low Voltage Technician, Cabinet Installer, Mechanical Assembler, Equipment Installer, or Construction Laborer are encouraged to apply.

Experience with equipment racks, server cabinets, cable tray, ladder rack, structured cabling, or data center construction is a plus.
