Data Center Technician

US Citizenship required.
Job Duties:
- Help qualify and troubleshoot new hardware models
- Design rack elevations and run power calculations
- Rack and wire new networking equipment and servers
- Design process improvements for datacenter management
- Work closely with Network Engineering, Compute, and Database teams for site maintenance
- Inventory and documentation of datacenter equipment and spares
- "Racking and Stacking"
- Wiring
- Following Designs, not writing them
- Troubleshooting Network Hardware
- Adjust voice and video configurations to minimize communication disruptions
- Be able to run tape backup
Skills:
- Experience running neat cabling
- Experience testing and verifying copper and fiber cabling
- Intense attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience configuring routers and switches
- Previous experience in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or other related fields
- Familiarity with telecommunications equipment
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong work ethic
- Be able to work under pressure
