About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. The Data Center Technician’s responsibilities include maintaining the data center’s IT system, troubleshooting issues, performing server installations, and ensuring uninterrupted access to network services.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong understanding of network infrastructure and data center operations.

Familiarity with server installations and network updates is also required. 

 

Specific Responsibilities

·       Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center equipment and networks

·       Monitoring of system performance and identification of problems

·       Performing server backup, data recovery, and network upgrades

·       Maintaining a secure and robust network environment

·       Documenting procedures, system anomalies and outages

·       Working closely with the IT team and other departments to ensure efficient operations

·       Ensuring adherence to data center standards and industry best practices

·       Providing technical support and guidance to users 

 

Required Qualifications

·       Proven work experience as a Data Center Technician or similar role

·       Strong understanding of networks and data center operations

·       Familiarity with server installations, network updates, and troubleshooting

·       Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

·       Strong knowledge of operating systems and network devices

·       Proficient with data cabling and physical infrastructure

·       Professional certification (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network+) is a plus

·       Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
