Hi,

Greetings!!!

I am Lokesh from SRI Tech Solutions. Regarding below Job requirement. Kindly have a look at it and please revert me with your updated resume if interested.

Role: Data Center Technical lead

Location: 5000 Like Way, Fort Worth, TX 76177

Duration: 6 months (Might extend)

What You'll Own

  • A team of 4-8 technicians executing terminal deployments, transponder installs, optical migrations, and cross-connects
  • The execution plan for every project at your site — from kickoff through QC completion
  • Site-level quality: Right First-Time rate, audit pass rate, workmanship standards
  • SLA performance at your site — projects delivered within contractual timeframes
  • Technical problem resolution: you are the first and primary escalation point when work stalls

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Execution (40%)

  • Plan project execution: cable runs, material pathways, labor allocation, sequencing
  • Develop and maintain project execution timelines aligned to SLA targets
  • Validate Engineering Deployment Plans (EDPs) and Bills of Material (BOMs) before work begins
  • Estimate labor hours for projects and limited assignments
  • Identify dependencies, blockers, and critical path items BEFORE they become problems
  • Make real-time execution decisions within project scope without waiting for OM approval
  • Coordinate with Meta DCPMs, network engineers, and cross-functional partners at site level

Technical Leadership & Problem Solving (25%)

  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for all L1 and L2 issues at your site
  • Troubleshoot complex Layer 1 fiber and copper issues that exceed L2 capability
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on failed audits, rework items, and installation defects
  • Validate cable paths, patch schedules, port maps, and rack diagrams for accuracy
  • Authorize material substitutions per approved equivalents
  • Resolve BOM discrepancies, EDP conflicts, and material shortages through field engineering judgment
  • Make technical go/no-go decisions for project phases (field installation, audit, QC)

People Development & Site Leadership (20%)

  • Assign daily work to technicians based on skill level, project priority, and SLA position
  • Coach and mentor L1 and L2 technicians through on-the-job training and constructive feedback
  • Conduct informal skill assessments — identify who is ready to advance and who needs support
  • Enforce productivity, quality, and safety standards consistently
  • Hold team members accountable for workmanship, timeliness, and professional conduct
  • Build a team culture of ownership: we don't leave problems for the next person
  • Serve as technical buddy/mentor for new hires during their first 2 weeks on site

Quality & Compliance (10%)

  • Conduct pre-QC inspections on ALL installations before customer audit — catch issues before they are found
  • Own Right First Time at your site: if QC finds defects, that is your accountability
  • Write and maintain Point-to-Point (PTP) documentation, ladder safety forms, and technical progress reports
  • Verify completed work against EDP specifications, cable schedules, and port maps
  • Ensure all work meets Meta Division 27 installation standards and dressing requirements

Communication & Reporting (5%)

  • Report daily/weekly progress to Operations Manager: what is done, what is blocked, what is next
  • Escalate blockers proactively WITH recommendations (not just flags)
  • Participate in project kickoffs
  • Interface professionally with Meta site contacts (DCPMs, engineers, NOC technicians)
  • Represent client competence and professionalism in all customer-facing interactions
  • Provide timely, accurate progress updates suitable for executive-level consumption when required

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years in structured cabling, fiber optic installation, or data center infrastructure deployment
  • 2+ years in a lead, foreman, or supervisory role directing crews of 3+ technicians
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing Division 27 installation projects from design to completion
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, cable schedules, rack diagrams, and port maps

Technical Skills

  • Expert-level fiber optic termination, testing, and troubleshooting (single-mode and multi-mode)
  • Proficient with: VFL, OTDR, optical power meter, fiber scope, Cat6 tester, LC/MTP-12/MTP-24 connectors, IR card, OneClick and Cletop cleaners
  • Effective Layer 1 troubleshooting methodology — can isolate and resolve connectivity issues systematically
  • Knowledge of SLA structures and prioritization logic
  • Proficiency in productivity tools: Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, project tracking software

Leadership & Communication

  • Strong written and verbal communication — can produce professional progress reports, escalation summaries, and client-facing updates
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop junior team members (not just direct them)
  • Comfortable representing the team in meetings with client representatives
  • Professional demeanor: composed under pressure, solutions-oriented, accountable

Other Requirements

  • Pass customer background verification (BGV)
  • Willing and able to travel domestically to other ENSD sites (up to 25% travel)
  • Meet physical requirements: regularly carry 20 lbs, lift 50 lbs, work from ladders, move frequently between work areas
