Duration: 5 Weeks (Beginning of August)
Schedule: Day Full-Time | 8 Hours/Day
Pay Rate: $30.00/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking dependable Data Center Technicians to support a high-volume data center deployment project in Reston, VA. This is a hands-on production environment where attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to follow standardized procedures are critical to success.

This role is ideal for entry-level technicians, recent graduates, or mechanically inclined individuals looking to gain experience in hardware assembly and data center operations.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and organize incoming hardware shipments.
  • Verify inventory counts and document discrepancies accurately.
  • Handle electronic components using proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
  • Flash ECUs and other hardware by following established work instructions.
  • Monitor flashing processes and record pass/fail results.
  • Install servers, chassis, and head units into equipment racks.
  • Mount 2U devices using rails, cage nuts, and mounting hardware.
  • Install cable management arms and route power and Ethernet (RJ45) cables neatly.
  • Maintain organized cable dressing while following labeling and -coding standards.
  • Follow production schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Work under the direction of a Lead Technician to complete daily production goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous assembly, production, warehouse, manufacturing, or rack & stack experience is but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Ability to follow written procedures with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Basic understanding of ESD handling is a plus.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Coachable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Skills

  • Experience with rack & stack installations.
  • Familiarity with installing rails, cage nuts, and cable management accessories.
  • Experience connecting RJ45 Ethernet and power cables.
  • Manufacturing, production line, or electronics assembly experience.
  • Inventory receiving or quality inspection experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand, bend, reach, and walk throughout the shift.
  • Use hand tools and work around server racks and electronic equipment.
