Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Validation & Troubleshooting Technician to support the build and turn-up of large-scale data centers. This role sits between installation and engineering—focused on identifying and resolving connectivity and hardware issues to ensure systems are fully operational before handoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues
- Run, test, and validate fiber and copper cabling using standard tools
- Swap and validate optics (SFP/QSFP), patch cables, and hardware components
- Perform power cycling and basic configuration checks on switches and devices
- Use tablets/runbooks to compare expected vs actual system states
- 50/50 work between installation and troubleshooting
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in data center, telecom, or network environments
- Basic understanding of networking (ports, VLANs, TCP/IP, connectivity)
- Hands-on experience with fiber (LC), copper cabling, and testing tools
- Familiarity with network hardware (switches, routers, optics)
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to follow logical processes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
