Data Centre Project Manager (Mechanical)\n\nSalary: £55,200 £4,800 Car Allowance Benefits\n Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am–5pm\n Location: (company van provided)\n Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence essential\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are partnering with a leading facilities management and engineering services provider with a strong technical heritage.\n\nWe’re seeking a Data Centre Project Manager (Mechanical) to oversee the design, installation, commissioning, and handover of multiple power and mechanical projects within the data centre arena.\n\nYou will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while keeping within budget and programme requirements. This role will suit a mechanically biased engineer with proven experience in resilient power delivery and project management within mission-critical environments.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nManage the delivery of resilient power and mechanical projects across multiple sites\nPrepare technical specifications and briefs in consultation with the design team\nDevelop and monitor project programmes in conjunction with the supply chain and senior stakeholders\nManage and coordinate specialist contractors, ensuring compliance with QA and performance standards\nMaintain accurate site records, project documentation, and reporting\nCarry out site inspections, oversee snagging, and manage defect resolution during FAT and commissioning phases\nEnsure all RAMS are in place, suitable, and adhered to (whether subcontracted or in-house delivery)\nLead client, contractor, and pre-start meetings, representing the business in a professional manner\nSafeguard statutory compliance and Health & Safety practices across all projectsWho You Are\n\nProven experience in mechanical systems such as pipework, HVAC, or related building services\nStrong background in standby power systems (UPS, generators, and controls)\nSolid experience delivering projects in mission-critical environments\nCompleted a recognised apprenticeship or hold technical qualifications in mechanical/building services engineering (Degree, HNC, or equivalent)\nExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines\nStrong knowledge of Health & Safety, ideally with CDM experience (CSCS Gold Card, SMSTS or IOSH desirable)\nStrong communicator, confident liaising with contractors, stakeholders, and clients at all levels\nIT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office \n\nWhat’s In It for You\n\nSalary: £55,200 £4,800 car allowance\n25 days holiday bank holidays, plus option to buy up to 5 extra days\nEmployee discounts (shopping, gym, leisure, days out, and more)\nExtensive learning & development, with opportunities for career progression\nBe part of a supportive, innovative business that values people and sustainability\n If you’re an experienced mechanical engineer with a track record in data centre project management or commissioning for resilient power systems, this is your chance to join a forward-thinking team delivering high-impact projects across the UK
