Position Overview

The Deployment Technician team will execute site-level organization, standardization, and operational improvement initiatives across data center, office, storage, and staging environments. This team is responsible for implementing structured processes that improve efficiency, safety, and overall performance of facility operations. Team members will work under the direction of a Deployment Manager to prepare spaces, install systems, manage inventories, and document results for long-term sustainment.

Key Responsibilities

Site Preparation & Setup

• Participate in discovery sessions to understand project scope and area requirements.
• Organize and prepare workspaces, staging zones, and equipment areas.
• Support logistics including receiving, kitting, and staging of tools, materials, and supplies.

Deployment Execution

• Implement structured layouts for office, storage, and technical spaces.
• Install labeling, signage, visual controls, and standardized inventory systems.
• Ensure safe, clean, and efficient environments through proper material handling and waste disposal.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, ladders, carts, and lifts as required.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

• Complete checklists, status logs, and compliance forms.
• Capture photographic documentation of before/after conditions.
• Report progress, issues, and improvement opportunities to the Deployment Manager.

Collaboration & Support

• Work as part of a cross-functional deployment team including technicians, warehouse staff, and administrative support.
• Coordinate with site contacts, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow established safety, security, and compliance protocols at all times.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical trade certification .
• OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety certification desirable.
• Forklift, lift, or material handling certifications a plus.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in data center, warehouse, construction, or facility deployment environments.
• Familiarity with structured layouts, labeling systems, and standardized operational practices.
• Experience working with tools, material handling equipment, and site safety procedures.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and stage equipment and materials as needed.
• Basic computer literacy for completing checklists, digital forms, and reports.
• Team-oriented mindset with willingness to collaborate and adapt to changing priorities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Completion of deployment activities on schedule and to defined quality standards.
• Accuracy of labeling, signage, and inventory setup across designated spaces.
• Compliance with safety and operational protocols during all phases of deployment.
• Positive feedback from stakeholders and project leadership.
• Sustained improvements in organization, efficiency, and safety post-deployment.
