Data Center Technician – Entry Level | 1099 Independent Contractor

TeleMac Network Solutions is looking for motivated individuals to join our team as 1099 Independent Contractor Data Center Technicians. We are especially interested in recent graduates and students who have completed programs in telecommunications, networking, fiber optics, electrical technology, structured cabling, information technology, or related fields.
\n
\n
This is a hands-on field opportunity supporting telecommunications and network infrastructure projects in data center environments. It is an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects while developing valuable technical experience.

Responsibilities:
\n
\n
- \n
- Install and organize fiber optic and structured cabling
- Perform cable routing, labeling, patching, and cable management
- Assist with fiber optic connections and testing
- Follow project drawings, instructions, and site procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all data center safety and PPE requirements
- Work with Foremen and Lead Technicians to complete project assignments
- Develop hands-on skills in data center and network infrastructure work

Qualifications:
\n
\n

- Recent graduate or student in telecommunications, networking, fiber optics, electrical technology, IT, structured cabling, or a related field
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Comfortable performing physical field work
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work with tools throughout the shift
- Reliable attendance and transportation
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
- Previous field, construction, telecom, fiber optic, or data center experience is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates
