Solutions Tender Engineer\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe are seeking a Solutions Tender Engineer to join a UK-based solution centre tendering team, supporting the growth of the data centre business in a rapidly evolving market driven by cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and high-density computing environments.\n\nIn this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality, competitive technical and commercial proposals for integrated data centre infrastructure solutions. You will work across a broad portfolio of technologies, including UPS systems, power distribution, indoor and outdoor cooling, rack systems, environmental monitoring (DCIM), and modular/containerised solutions, contributing to projects from concept through to delivery.\n\nYou will operate within established project governance processes and collaborate closely with sales, engineering, global product teams, manufacturing facilities, and key internal stakeholders including procurement, finance, legal, and contracts teams. This collaboration ensures solutions are technically compliant, commercially robust, and aligned with both customer requirements and internal standards.\n\nThis is a key role supporting complex, high-value opportunities, offering exposure to cutting-edge technologies including high-density environments, liquid cooling, and sustainable data centre solutions.\n\nAbout You\n\nStrong understanding of data centre infrastructure systems, including power, cooling, and IT environments\nAbility to develop integrated end-to-end technical solutions\nStrong commercial awareness, including cost modelling and margin considerations\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nStrong organisational and time management capability\nAbility to work effectively under pressure and manage competing deadlines\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy\nAwareness of energy efficiency and sustainability considerations, including PUE and carbon impact\nExperience working within a matrix or global organisation is advantageous\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nEssential\n\nDegree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline\nProven experience in tendering, pre-sales, or application engineering within data centres or critical infrastructure environments\nExperience working with multi-disciplinary infrastructure solutions\nKnowledge of tendering processes and commercial frameworks\n\nDesirable\n\nFamiliarity with recognised data centre standards and best practices\nExperience with modular or prefabricated data centre solutions\nExposure to hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data centre environments\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and bonus scheme\nGenerous annual leave entitlement plus public holidays\nPension scheme\nEmployee share ownership opportunities\nHealth and wellbeing support programmes\nFlexible gym membership options\nInternal career development and mobility opportunities\nAccess to mentoring, training, and global project exposure\nEmployee discount programmes\nComprehensive learning and development resources
