Project Details:
Duration: 4–6 months (initial), starting January.
Resources: 2–3 engineers, on-site strongly .
Tools: Autodesk Inventor Pro 2024 (upgrading to 2026 in January), Vault Pro PLM.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
- Create complete enclosure designs for generator sets, including structural layout, sheet metal components, and integration with fuel bases.
- Incorporate electrical panels, transformers, conduit, lighting, heaters, sound insulation, airflow systems, and louvres into containerized enclosures.
Customization & Integration:
- Adapt designs for mobile and stationary generators, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate on fuel base design (up to 5,000-gallon diesel tanks) and ensure compatibility with enclosure structures.
Prototyping & Documentation:
- Prepare detailed CAD models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor Pro and manage data through Vault Pro PLM.
- Support prototype build and fit-up activities targeted for Q2 next year.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical/electrical design for industrial equipment or power systems.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor Pro and Vault Pro (or similar)
- Strong understanding of structural design, sheet metal fabrication, and integration of electrical components.
- Familiarity with generator systems, fuel systems, and enclosure/container design.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment with minimal starting templates.

- Background in power systems, heavy equipment, or Caterpillar products.
- Knowledge of sound attenuation, airflow/cooling systems, and compliance standards for fuel tanks.
- Experience with data center power solutions.
