Data Center Technician II

Location: Boardman, OR

Pay Rate: $34.00/hour

We are seeking a Data Center Technician II to support mission-critical infrastructure within a large-scale data center environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware issues, performing server repairs and component replacements, supporting network connectivity, and maintaining operational excellence across data center systems.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve server hardware issues
• Perform hardware replacements, repairs, and upgrades
• Support day-to-day data center operations and infrastructure maintenance
• Conduct basic network troubleshooting and TCP/IP diagnostics
• Utilize Linux/Unix command-line tools for troubleshooting and support
• Manage and document work through ticketing systems
• Follow established operational and security procedures
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure maximum uptime and reliability

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience working with server or computer hardware
• 1+ year of experience with TCP/IP networking concepts
• Experience performing hardware repairs and component replacements
• Basic Linux/Unix command-line knowledge
• Experience using ticketing systems for incident tracking and documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications:

• Previous data center experience
• CompTIA A+ or related certification
• Experience with rack and stack, cabling, and infrastructure support
• Knowledge of power distribution and cooling systems

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions within a data center environment

Schedule:

• Flexible schedule required
• Day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required
• Initial training schedule is Monday through Friday during standard business hours
