Director of AWS Training and Certification , AWS Applied AI Solutions

Amazon Web Services is seeking a product-minded, technically fluent Director to own and transform AWS Training & Certification (T&C) — a global program that empowers millions of learners, cloud professionals, and enterprises to build and validate cloud skills at scale. Reporting to the SVP of AWS Applied AI Solutions, this leader will grow and develop a global organization of 1,000+ and define the future of cloud learning and certification in an era of rapid AI transformation.

The ideal candidate is a product-minded, technically fluent leader who has built and shipped software products for end users and businesses. They will understand how to drive adoption and engagement across multiple channels and formats (digital, in person, video, gaming and simulations, etc), bring a clear, bold vision for how generative AI will reshape the way training content is created, delivered, and consumed. They are equally strong as a product innovator, a business operator, and a people leader — capable of setting organizational clarity for a large, globally distributed team while driving a product-led business that ultimately accelerates adoption and use of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term product vision and strategy for AWS Training & Certification, building products that drive breadth and depth of AWS customer adoption
- Develop a bold vision for how people will learn in the future. Guide technical decisions and harness generative AI to build better products and operate more effectively
- Lead the integration of AI into the creation and delivery of training content, transforming how the organization builds and ships learning experiences
- Grow, develop, and inspire a high-performing global organization of 1,000+
- Architect training and certification as a core part of the AWS marketing flywheel, connecting every customer engagement to a clear path for skill acquisition and AWS adoption
- Understand how enterprises identify skills gaps, integrate training and certification into improving cloud operations, and drive upskilling at scale
- Build and scale the AWS training partner ecosystem by enabling learning partners and GSIs to deepen certified expertise and drive AWS consumption
- Establish and track key business metrics, using data-driven insights to optimize product performance and learner outcomes
