Director of Engineering
Electrical Systems, Controls & Multidisciplinary Engineering
Onsite – Frisco (Dallas–Fort Worth)
The Opportunity
We’re partnering confidentially with a fast-growing engineering-led organization to appoint an Engineering Director. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of electrical engineering, control systems, and mechanical integration, and who enjoys building and scaling high-performance engineering teams.
You’ll play a key role in shaping engineering strategy, technical standards, and delivery across complex electromechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary engineering team (Electrical, Controls, Mechanical).
- Own technical direction across electrical systems, controls architecture, and mechanical integration.
- Oversee design and delivery of complex engineered systems from concept through production.
- Act as the technical authority across electrical controls, switchgear, panels, and system integration.
- Collaborate closely with operations, manufacturing, and senior leadership.
- Drive engineering best practice, process improvement, and technical governance.
Background & Experience
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering with deep exposure to control systems.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design as it relates to electrical systems.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in an industrial or infrastructure environment.
- Industry experience within switchboards, control panels, data centers, industrial automation, or a closely related sector.
- Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on when required.
