Director, Global Investment
As our Director, Global Investment (m/f/d), you will inherit a key leadership role within the Investment team and be responsible for supporting the strategic planning, execution, and integration of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Investment, this role plays a critical part in driving growth, expansion, and value creation through effective investment analysis, due diligence, and cross-functional collaboration.
The role will be based in London, is full time and hybrid.
What you will do
* Manage and mentor a team of investment analysts and managers, fostering professional development and performance
* Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven analysis by monitoring market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to inform investment decisions
* Working with the Global Investment team to underwrite and execute business expansion opportunities via new leases, site and asset acquisitions, M&A, strategic partnerships and joint ventures
* Manage the creation of detailed financial models and return sensitivity analysis on individual investments and aggregated portfolios with complex deal structures
* Draft comprehensive Investment Committee Memorandums for presentation to the Investment Committee which would include detailed property, return, tenant, market, economic, and risk analyses for each acquisition
* Taking the lead and working independently in coordinating due diligence for property acquisitions and dispositions until the closing
* Assisting with SPA drafting and negotiations, reviewing leases and service contracts of prospective acquisitions, coordinating with legal counsel on outstanding contract issues, reviewing and analysing third-party due diligence reports
* Set-up and manage internal calls and meetings, produce/review minutes, actions and follow-up on stakeholders
* Creating reports on an ad-hoc basis and at the discretion of the leadership and tracking progress across various workstreams in projects you are primarily responsible for and reporting them upwards
* Perform other tasks and projects as assigned from time to time
What we are looking for
* Several years of experience in digital infrastructure (ideally data centre) investments, including exposure to underwriting, valuing and due diligence
* We could consider relevant experience in real estate or other real asset classes but have a strong preference for candidates with digital infrastructure experience
* Excellent understanding of data centres, corporate finance and transaction structuring
* A relevant Bachelor’s degree and Master's is desirable or similar professional qualification
* Extended working experience in a strategic leadership and management position, preferably working as a senior strategy manager in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
* Extended experience in strategic planning and analysis, marketing/market research, competitive intelligence, and corporate business development.
* Proven track record of working in internal and external cross-cultural and/or cross-functional project teams and define project requirements including develop briefing documents
* Fluency in English is required, additional are a distinct advantage
* Available for business travel and short- and mid-terms stays abroad
* Advanced skills in MS Excel and competent in the use of software products including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint – excellent financial modelling capability
* Effective communication skills, including the ability to present and communicate to internal and external stakeholders
