Position Summary

The Director of Information Technology is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing the organization’s overall IT vision and roadmap. This individual will oversee the planning, implementation, optimization, and governance of core technology platforms—including NetSuite and ServiceNow—ensuring that systems, processes, and infrastructure effectively support business objectives. The Director of IT will drive enterprise application rationalization, strengthen IT service delivery, and lead budget management across the technology portfolio. This role partners closely with executive leadership, functional heads, and key stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions that enable operational excellence.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Technology Roadmap

  • Develop and execute a multi‐year IT strategy aligned with company goals and operational priorities.
  • Oversee enterprise architecture, ensuring systems are scalable, integrated, and aligned to business needs.
  • Lead application portfolio modernization initiatives, including software consolidation and reduction of redundant tools.

 

Operational Management

  • Provide leadership and oversight for day‐to‐day IT operations, ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and high‐quality service delivery.
  • Establish and manage IT policies, cybersecurity frameworks, and compliance standards.
  • Evaluate and enhance IT service management processes powered by ServiceNow.

 

NetSuite & ServiceNow Ownership

  • Serve as executive owner of NetSuite ERP and ServiceNow platforms, ensuring system optimization, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee configuration, integrations, and administration strategies for both platforms, partnering with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Drive automation and process improvements leveraging NetSuite and ServiceNow capabilities.

 

Application & Vendor Management

  • Lead initiatives to reduce the overall software application footprint—prioritizing consolidation, cost optimization, and improved user experience.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate new technologies for alignment with business priorities.
  • Ensure proper lifecycle management of enterprise applications, including upgrades, integrations, and end‐of‐life planning.

 

Budgeting & Financial Oversight

  • Develop, manage, and forecast the IT budget, ensuring financial discipline and transparency.
  • Optimize spending across infrastructure, applications, and vendor contracts.
  • Provide detailed reporting on IT investments, ROI, and cost‐saving initiatives.

 

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‐performing IT team across infrastructure, applications, and service management functions.
  • Partner with cross‐functional leaders (Finance, HR, Operations, Engineering, etc.) to align technology solutions with organizational needs.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible IT leadership experience, including managing enterprise systems and IT operations.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and ITSM platforms (preferably ServiceNow).
  • Experience managing IT budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong background in leading cross‐departmental technology initiatives and system implementations.
  • Proven ability to manage vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee technology procurement.

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Direct leadership experience with NetSuite ERP administration, optimization, or major implementations.
  • Hands‐on oversight or strategy development for ServiceNow workflows, modules, or enterprise service management functions.
  • Experience executing software application rationalization, including cost reduction and platform consolidation efforts.
  • Background in high‐growth or multi‐site organizations with complex technology environments.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technology decisions to executive leaders.

Physical Requirements:

 

·       Able to remain in a seated position for an extended period and to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. (office manuals, case notebooks, case files, case materials, standard boxes, report binders, etc.) as needed.
